What We Always Check

Clear AI-DFM scope matters more than slogans. These items are prioritized in the process-risk scan and shown in the report with explanations, recommendations, and 3D annotations.

Boundary note: DFM scoring does not replace final engineering drawing review, material certification, heat-treatment distortion validation, functional testing, or customer-side assembly validation.

Geometry Risk

  • Internal sharp corners: Rmin and tool-radius accessibility
  • Thin walls and isolated tall walls: thickness, support, and chatter risk
  • Deep cavities: depth-to-width ratio, bottom access, and long-tool limits
  • Freeform surfaces and multiple datums: 5-axis needs and locating risk

Hole / Thread Risk

  • Blind-hole threads: bottom clearance, relief groove, and tap overtravel
  • Hole edge distance / spacing: minimum wall stock and breakout risk
  • Deep holes: L/D ratio, chip evacuation, runout, and tool rigidity
  • Inch / metric threads: conflicts between drawing and form standards

Drawing Conflict

  • Material: conflicts between drawing callouts and customer form input
  • Tolerances: conflicts between ISO / ANSI / JIS defaults and local requirements
  • Surface treatment: coating thickness impact on fits and threads
  • Unspecified dimensions: engineering assumptions requiring manual review

Report Output

  • 3D highlighted issue areas with click-to-read notes
  • Risk cause, recommended change, and cost-impact direction
  • Customer can choose “accept recommendation” or “keep original drawing”
  • Engineering reviews the formal quotation based on the final choice

Verifiable Quality Documents

Engineering buyers need more than machining capability; they need a closed documentation loop. The following documents can be provided at quotation, first-article, or shipment stage as required.

SAMPLE MEDIA SLOT

Workshop proof, not marketing wallpaper

This slot is reserved for a 5-second workshop video, CMM inspection photo or shipment QC image. First version uses a placeholder until real media is approved.

Evidence shown here is sample/desensitized. Andas controls engineering review, first-article checkpoints, QA document packages and delivery follow-up; special finishing records are coordinated through approved process partners when required.

CMM / FAIR

First-article inspection, CMM dimensional reports, and CTQ sampling plans can be defined according to the drawing.

MTR / EN 10204 3.1

Metal materials can include material certificates, heat/lot traceability, and hardness/chemistry data according to the supply source.

Shipment QC / Surface Record

Anodizing thickness, plating requirements, heat-treatment hardness, and third-party testing can be confirmed according to the official specification.

Certificate request

Ask for the latest certificate copy, QA package, or Andas process-control summary before project launch.

CMM / FAIR sample

Desensitized report format showing CTQ dimensions, sampling logic and first-article checkpoints.

MTR traceability

Material certificate sample covering lot traceability, chemistry, hardness and EN 10204 3.1 style records.

Treatment record

Surface finish, plating, hard anodizing, heat-treatment hardness and inspection evidence can be packaged by project.

Shipment QC

Outgoing inspection photos, packing notes and critical dimension summary can be attached before shipment.

Confirm drawing revision, delivery terms, quality documents, and payment terms.

05 / First Article

First Article / FAIR

Samples usually take 5–10 working days, depending on material and complexity.

06 / Shipment

Batch Production / Shipment

Batch orders usually take 10–20 working days; rush orders require process-window confirmation.

MOQ:Usually evaluated from 100 pcs per part number; samples or small batches require separate pricing.
Rush:Rush feasibility depends on material, tooling, finishing, and machine availability; rush fees may be separated when required.
Capacity:CNC machining, first-article confirmation, CMM/FAIR documents, EDM, heat treatment, and finishing can be planned in parallel under the Andas-managed workflow.

Engineering Buyers Need Delivery Evidence, Not Just Photos

The following cases remove customer names and sensitive structures, keeping only material, process, challenges, inspection, and lead-time information so engineers can quickly understand what we have done.

Automation 200 pcs / 12d

Automation joint node

7075-T6 aluminum, 5-axis machining plus hard anodizing. Critical Ø12H7 bore and 0.05 positional tolerance controlled by FAIR and batch CMM sampling.

Result: First article approved before batch release; anodizing masking plan protected fit surfaces.
Telecom 500 pcs / 15d

RF shielding enclosure

6061-T6 enclosure with thin ribs, sealing face flatness, black anodizing and threaded inserts. DFM focused on burr control and coating thickness allowance.

Result: Stable flatness after finishing pass; package included inspection photos and critical dimension report.
Fluid Control 120 pcs / 18d

Hydraulic manifold block

304/316L stainless manifold with deep holes, intersecting ports and blind threads. Process review focused on chip evacuation, deburring and leak-path control.

Result: Added bore cleaning and thread gauge checkpoints before final pressure-related customer review.
